Colour Coding Your AdSense Ads

This section is for those of you that are going to be placing your Google AdSense codes into your WordPress blogs. The proper colour coding of your AdSense display in text format ads is crucial. This can be the difference between making a $0.25 click and a $5.00 click!

Login to your Google AdSense account. Click on the tab [AdSense Setup]. Then click on the top link titled "AdSense for Content". Select default ad unit for text and image display of the Ad Unit. Then click the [Continue] button at the bottom of the page.

Once on the Format and colours page, you'll need to select your format and colour. Remember that the best formats for your WordPress blog are the 468x60 size for the header (top / ad1), 125x125 size for the upper sidebar (side / ad2) and 120x240 for the lower side bar (side / ad3). Choose the proper one for the ad you are choosing and then move down the page to your colour selection.

View your theme for the recommended colour scheme. Fill in the Border, Title, Background, Text and URL fields with the appropriate colour code from our recommendation. We have done this not because we believe it "looks pretty" or it's a personal favourite colour of Grandpa JoeJoe. We recommend the selected colour codes based on maximum clickability factors according to our research and statistics.
